FORESTIS

Some hotels are worth planning an entire trip around. FORESTIS is one of them.

We spent the final three nights of our week in the Dolomites here, staying in a Tower Suite with mountain views that never got old. After several days of hiking, we were ready to do very little, and FORESTIS made that remarkably easy.

We never left the property during our stay. Between the spa, the setting, and some of the best meals we’ve ever had, there was nowhere else we wanted to be.

A reason to stay in

The food alone would be enough to bring me back.

We ate every breakfast, lunch, and dinner at FORESTIS, and I can genuinely say it was some of the best food I’ve ever had. Not just on this trip, but anywhere. Every meal felt like part of the experience rather than something to plan around.

We spent our days moving between the spa, our Tower Suite, and the restaurant. We booked treatments, took our time over meals, and enjoyed having absolutely nowhere else we needed to be.

And then there were the views. Waking up in our Tower Suite, looking out at the mountains, and knowing the only thing on the agenda was enjoying the hotel made those three days feel like a vacation within our vacation.

One thing I’d change

If I could change one thing, it would be the pool area. The loungers were set directly on the grass, which looked beautiful against the mountain backdrop but wasn’t quite as relaxing in practice. Visiting in late August, we found ourselves dealing with flies and bees while trying to enjoy the pool.

I would have loved a more dedicated, manicured space for lounging. It was a small drawback in an otherwise exceptional stay, and certainly wouldn’t stop me from returning.

Would return. Without hesitation.

FORESTIS was everything I wanted from the final three nights of our Dolomites trip. The Tower Suite, the mountain views, the spa, and especially the food made it a place I could have happily stayed much longer.

Of the three hotels we visited, FORESTIS was a very close second to Granvara, which won me over in a different way. But when it came to dining, FORESTIS was in a league of its own.

I’d go back for the food alone. Everything else would be a bonus.
