I’m Lauren.

I’m a New Jersey native, an accountant by trade, and someone who has always kept a running list of places I want to go.

For me, planning a trip has never been just about where to go. It’s the hotel I’ll remember, the restaurant I’ll make a reservation for months ahead, the road I’ll take because someone said the view was worth it. I like having something to look forward to — and usually, a very detailed spreadsheet to go with it.

I started Elsewhere, Often as a place to keep track of all of it: the trips I’ve taken, the places I’d go back to, and the ones I wish I’d known about sooner.

I’m still figuring out what this becomes. For now, it’s a place to stay curious.
